Who this policy covers
This policy explains how seo-copywriter, Vítězná 1418/12, 460 01 Liberec, Czechia (referred to as "we," "us," or "seo-copywriter" throughout this site), collects and uses personal data when you visit this website, submit the contact form, use the Scope Estimator, or place an order through the cart and checkout.
We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy, within the meaning of Article 4(7) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the "GDPR") and Czech Act No. 110/2019 Sb., on the Processing of Personal Data.
This policy is published in English and in Czech. If the two versions differ in meaning, the Czech version prevails for customers resident in the Czech Republic.
What personal data we collect
We collect only what a specific part of the site needs to do its job. In practice, that is:
When you use the contact form:
- Name, email address, and — if you choose to give it — phone number and company name
- Whatever you write in the message field, including the originating page or service tagged automatically so we know which service you're asking about
When you place an order (cart and checkout):
- Name, email address, and optionally a phone number and company name (checkout step 1)
- Billing address — country, billing name, street address, city, and postal code — and, optionally, a VAT ID if you're ordering as an EU business claiming the reverse-charge rate (checkout step 2)
- Your project brief: target deadline, target language(s), the brief text or reference URL you paste in, and any additional notes you add (checkout step 3)
- Order contents: the packages, products, and add-ons in your order, and the order total
Payment data: the checkout's payment step is a demo/simulated environment while the site's real payment processing is finalised. Whatever the eventual live payment method, we do not see, transmit, or store full card details ourselves — card data is handled directly by a card-payment processor and never enters our own systems or this site's storage.
Automatically, only with your consent: if you accept the "Analytics" cookie category, Google Analytics 4 collects standard web-analytics data (pages viewed, approximate location at country/city level, device and browser type, how you arrived at the site). If you accept the "Embedded content" category, the map embed on the Contact page may set its own cookies once loaded. Neither loads before you consent — see §7 and the Cookie Policy.
What we do not collect: we do not ask for or store payment-card numbers, government ID numbers, or any special category of data under GDPR Article 9 (health, biometric, religious, political, or similar data). If your project brief happens to reference such data about your own business (unlikely, but possible in a pasted brief), we process it only to deliver the service you ordered and do not use it for any other purpose.
Why we process it
| Purpose | Data used | Legal basis (GDPR Art. 6(1)) |
|---|---|---|
| Responding to a contact-form enquiry | Name, email, phone (if given), message, source page | (b) steps prior to a contract, at your request |
| Taking and fulfilling an order | Contact, billing, brief, and order data | (b) performance of a contract with you |
| Issuing invoices and keeping accounting records | Billing details, order value, VAT ID | (c) legal obligation (Czech accounting and tax law) |
| Site security, fraud prevention, and keeping the checkout working correctly | Order and session data | (f) our legitimate interest in running a working, secure store |
| Analytics (Google Analytics 4) | Usage data described in §2 | (a) your consent, given via the cookie-consent banner |
| Embedded map on the Contact page | Cookies set by the map provider once loaded | (a) your consent, given via the cookie-consent banner |
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.
How long we keep it
- Contact-form enquiries that don't turn into an order: kept for as long as needed to answer your enquiry and for a reasonable follow-up window afterward, then deleted.
- Order, invoice, and billing records: kept for the period Czech law requires for accounting and tax documents — typically up to 10 years, under the Czech Accounting Act (Act No. 563/1991 Sb.) and VAT Act (Act No. 235/2004 Sb.). This applies even if you later ask us to delete other data about you (see §8) — we cannot delete records we're legally required to keep.
- Project-brief content (the text of your brief, reference URLs, notes): kept for as long as we need it to deliver and support your order, then archived or deleted once the engagement and any revision window are closed.
- Analytics data: retained per Google Analytics 4's own configured retention window (14 months by default for user-level data), and only collected at all once you've given Analytics consent.
International transfers
Some processors we use, including Google, may process data outside the European Economic Area (for example, in the United States). Where that happens, the transfer is made under a recognised safeguard under GDPR Chapter V — typically the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or the processor's own certified equivalent mechanism (such as the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, where the recipient is certified under it).
Your rights
Under GDPR Articles 15–22, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Rectify it if it's inaccurate or incomplete
- Erase it, where we're not required to keep it for a legal reason (see §4)
- Restrict how we process it, in certain circumstances
- Port it — receive it in a structured, commonly used format, or have it transferred directly to another controller where technically feasible
- Object to processing based on our legitimate interest (§3)
- Withdraw consent at any time, for anything we process on the basis of consent (cookies, analytics) — withdrawing consent doesn't affect the lawfulness of processing that happened before you withdrew it
To exercise any of these rights, email support@seo-copywriter.com. We'll respond within one month, as GDPR requires. If you're not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Czech supervisory authority:
Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů (Office for Personal Data Protection)
Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Praha 7, Czech Republic

Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the personal data we hold — encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the site, access limited to what each system needs, and no storage of card-payment details on our own systems (§2). No online system is completely immune to risk, but we treat this seriously and review our practices as the site evolves.
Children
This site is intended for business use and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if what we collect or how we use it changes, and update the "Last updated" date at the top when we do. Material changes affecting how we use your data will be communicated by a notice on this site or, where appropriate, directly by email.
