These terms, and who they're between
These Terms of Service govern any order placed through this website with seo-copywriter, Vítězná 1418/12, 460 01 Liberec, Czechia (identified in full in the entity block above). By placing an order — through the standard checkout, or through a bespoke scope agreed via the contact form — you agree to these terms. Where you order as a consumer (not for your trade, business, or profession), the consumer-protection provisions in §12 and the Refund & Cancellation Policy apply in addition to these terms; where they conflict with anything below for a consumer order, the consumer-protection provisions control.
Where this English version and the Czech version (Obchodní podmínky) could be read as differing in meaning, the Czech version prevails for customers resident in the Czech Republic.
What we sell
We sell written copy: SEO blog articles, website and landing-page copy, ecommerce product descriptions, content strategy and briefs, technical and SaaS copy, and EN↔CZ copywriting and localization — each sold as one or more fixed packages, plus two one-off productised items (the SEO Content Audit and the Editorial Style Guide) and four add-ons, as published on /pricing/ and on each service page. Package inclusions, turnaround, and revision counts are as stated on the page where you add the package to your cart at the time of order — that stated scope is the contract, not a general description of the service.
Most packages are one-off; a small number (marked "/mo" throughout the site) are monthly retainers, billed on a recurring monthly cycle rather than once. §9 covers how those work.
Placing an order
Orders are placed through the cart and the five-step checkout (Contact, Billing, Brief, Payment, Review). A contract is formed, and we're committed to delivering the ordered package(s), once you complete checkout step 5 and receive an order confirmation with an order reference (format SC-YYYYMMDD-XXXX). If a package's displayed price changes between when you added it to your cart and when you check out, the cart shows the updated price before you pay — we don't charge you more than the price you confirm at checkout.
For work that doesn't fit one of the published packages, you can reach us through /contact/ or the Scope Estimator's "Discuss this scope" option instead; a bespoke order is agreed by email and confirmed in writing before any work or payment is taken, and these terms apply to it once agreed, alongside whatever scope, price, and timeline we've confirmed by email.
Prices and VAT
All prices on this site are shown in EUR, exclusive of VAT, in minor-unit precision (e.g. €290.00). An indicative CZK figure appears on the pricing page only, at a fixed reference rate, labelled "indicative — invoiced in EUR" — it is never the amount charged; EUR is the only currency used in the cart, at checkout, and on invoices.
VAT is calculated at checkout, once your billing country (and VAT ID, if applicable) is known, and shown in full before you pay:
| Buyer | Rate applied |
|---|---|
| Czechia | Standard Czech VAT |
| EU, valid-format VAT ID supplied | 0% — reverse charge, accounted for by you as the recipient |
| EU, no VAT ID supplied | Standard Czech VAT |
| Outside the EU | 0% — outside the scope of EU VAT |
Where seo-copywriter is registered as a VAT payer in the Czech Republic, the "Standard Czech VAT" rate shown at checkout is the applicable statutory rate at the time of your order. Where seo-copywriter is not registered as a VAT payer, no VAT is added regardless of the table above, and your invoice states this plainly. Your invoice always reflects the actual VAT treatment applied to your specific order, whichever of the two applies.
VAT ID entries are checked for correct format only, not verified against any tax authority database — we don't claim the reverse-charge rate is confirmed-valid, only that a correctly-formatted ID was supplied.
Payment
Payment for one-off packages and products is taken in full at checkout, before work begins. For monthly packages, the first month is charged at checkout and each subsequent month is charged at the start of its cycle, per §9. Card payments are processed by our payment provider directly; we do not see or store your full card number ourselves (see the Privacy Policy §2 for detail, and the checkout's payment step for the specific notice shown there about how that step currently operates).
For a bespoke order agreed outside the standard checkout, we may agree a different payment structure in writing — for example, a deposit against a larger scope, with the balance due on delivery or on agreed milestones. Where that's the case, the payment schedule agreed by email for that order is what applies, not the checkout default above.
Turnaround and delivery
Each package states its own turnaround time on the page where you order it (for example, "5 business days" for a Single Article, "2–4 weeks" for a Full Site). That stated turnaround runs from the point your brief is confirmed as complete (§8), not from the moment you paid — if we need to come back to you for missing information, the clock pauses until we have what we need. Delivery is by email, or to whatever delivery method your brief specifies (CMS upload, formatted document, and so on, as stated in the package's inclusions).
If your target deadline (given at checkout step 3) is tighter than your package's stated turnaround, we flag this to you as soon as we read your brief — normally within one business day of your order — so you know before work starts whether the timeline is realistic, and can add the Rush turnaround add-on or adjust the deadline.
Revisions
Each package includes a stated number of revision rounds (shown on the package and repeated at checkout). A revision round means feedback on the delivered draft, checked against the original brief, incorporated into a revised draft. Revisions must be requested within 14 days of delivery and must relate to the brief you gave us — requests that materially change the brief itself (a different topic, a different word count, a different target audience) are treated as a new scope, not a revision, and may need the Extra revision round add-on or a separate order. Once your included revision rounds are used, further rounds can be added via the Extra revision round add-on (+€120) or agreed separately for larger scope changes.
What we need from you
Turnaround and quality both depend on what you give us at checkout step 3 and, where requested, afterward: a clear brief or reference material, the target language(s), any brand-voice guidance or terminology you want followed, and a single point of contact who can review drafts within a reasonable time. Where a package needs access (for example, the SEO Content Audit needs read access to your site or an export of your published URLs), delivery timelines run from when that access is provided, not from the order date.
Monthly and retainer packages
Packages billed "/mo" (Growth, Authority, Editorial Retainer, and Embedded Writer) renew automatically each month at the price shown at the time you ordered, until cancelled. You can cancel at any time before your next billing cycle starts — cancellation takes effect at the end of the cycle you've already paid for, and you keep everything delivered in that cycle. We don't refund a cycle that's already begun once work in it has started; nothing further is billed once cancellation takes effect. Full detail is in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Ownership of the work
Under Czech copyright law (Act No. 121/2000 Sb.), authorship and certain moral rights in a written work stay with the author and cannot be transferred outright. What we grant you instead, once a package or a monthly cycle is paid for in full, is an exclusive, unlimited, worldwide licence to use, edit, publish, adapt, and otherwise exploit the delivered copy for any purpose, without further payment to us — in practice, this gives you the same freedom to use the work as outright ownership would, for everything you're likely to want to do with it. We don't reuse your specific delivered copy for any other client.
Until a package or cycle is paid for in full, drafts, works-in-progress, and any brief material we've developed into a deliverable remain ours. If an order is cancelled before delivery under §12 or the Refund & Cancellation Policy, no licence is granted for any partial draft you've seen, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Confidentiality
Anything you share with us in a brief, on a call, or by email to get your project done — brand information, product details, unpublished plans — is treated as confidential. We don't disclose it to anyone outside the people working on your order, and we don't reuse it for any other client's project. If you'd like a signed mutual non-disclosure agreement before sharing sensitive material, ask — we're set up to sign one for a bespoke order agreed via /contact/.
Your right to cancel or withdraw
If you're ordering as a consumer (not for your trade, business, or profession), Czech law gives you a 14-day statutory right of withdrawal on distance contracts, and the way that right applies to a digital copywriting order — including the express-consent waiver you're asked to confirm at checkout step 5 — is set out in full in the Refund & Cancellation Policy. That page is the authoritative version of this term; read it before you order if the withdrawal right matters to your decision.
If you're ordering as a business, the statutory consumer withdrawal right does not apply to your order (this is confirmed by the business-order checkbox at checkout step 5); cancellation of a business order is governed by §9 above for monthly packages, and by the Refund & Cancellation Policy's general cancellation terms for one-off packages.
Liability
We deliver copy built on the brief, research, and access you give us, and we stand behind the craft of what we write. We don't guarantee specific search-engine rankings, traffic figures, or conversion outcomes — no honest agency controls the algorithm or your market, and any service description on this site that mentions SEO structure or best practice is describing our method, not promising a result.
Our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that specific package or product. We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses (lost profits, lost business opportunities, and similar) arising from your use of the delivered copy. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Czech law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
Acceptable use
Please don't ask us to write anything unlawful, defamatory, or infringing on someone else's rights, and don't submit briefs containing personal data about third parties beyond what's genuinely needed for the project (see the Privacy Policy §2). We reserve the right to decline or pause an order where a brief asks for content of this kind.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Czech Republic. If a dispute can't be resolved directly, a consumer may bring it to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce, ČOI), Štěpánská 567/15, 120 00 Praha 2, coi.cz, as the out-of-court consumer dispute resolution (ADR) body for this business. (The EU's Online Dispute Resolution platform was shut down on 20 July 2025; ČOI is the route to use.) Nothing here removes your right to bring a claim before the competent Czech courts.
Language versions. These terms are published in English and in Czech. If the two versions differ in meaning, the Czech version prevails for customers resident in the Czech Republic.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the site or the services change; the "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version. Changes apply to orders placed after the update — an order you've already placed is governed by the terms in effect when you placed it.
